Question about weight training and running

Just started the Marathon Guru program today. I have been doing upper body weights 3 days per week for 4 years and running 3 to 4 days. Would it still be ok to do the weights?

Hello Donna,
Thanks for your email. You certainly can keep doing your weights. Just make sure you are not doing heavy workouts when your run training is hard.
We do not count weights in your training, as these are extra sessions on top of what we have prescribed purely for your running.
